St. Anthony Main
Located right on the Mississippi River with stunning views of downtown, St. Anthony Main is a pocket of Northeast Minneapolis worth exploring. This hidden gem is characterized by its cobblestone road lined with a historic theater, bustling restaurants and some of our favorite patios. It's also the oldest portion of the city, but has kept its character intact.
St. Anthony Main is the perfect spot for date night, girl’s night out or just an excuse for a night out. To start your evening, head to The Main Theater to catch a movie. They play both new releases and independent films, so be sure to check what’s playing! Then walk next door to grab a drink and some apps at Aster Café. The patio is full of energy and their snacks and bites are the perfect accompaniment to one of their delicious cocktails. End your night with a stroll down to Water Power Park, where you’ll find a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River and St. Anthony Falls with a striking backdrop of the downtown skyline.
If you’re feeling adventurous, head to Father Hennepin Bluff Park and walk out onto the footpaths and bridges to get an awesome view of the Mississippi and the Stone Arch Bridge. It’ll feel like you’re breaking the rules, but we promise you’re not!
St. Anthony Main is a one-of-a-kind spot with an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the city. Check it out, and thank us later!
