North Loop Neighborhood
Trendy boutiques and talk-of-the-town restaurants and cafes line the streets of the North Loop. Often used interchangeably with “Warehouse District,” the North Loop is generally referenced as the area north and west on 1st Avenue North.
One of the hottest spots in the North Loop is Spoon and Stable, with James Beard award winning chef, Gavin Kaysen, who also happens to be from Minnesota himself. Fresh pasta, glistening seafood and delicious seasonal vegetables are the stand-out items at Spoon and Stable. The place is often full due to its popularity, so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time.
The trend of fine dining continues with Bar La Grassa (the pasta mecca of Minneapolis), Smack Shack (get the lobster roll!), Black Sheep Pizza (wood-fired and oh so delicious), Borough and Parlour (go to Parlour for the cocktails, but also get a taste of their burger), and the Freehouse (house-made brews and a full menu).
Of course, there’s more than just dining in the North Loop. Stop by Acme Comedy Company for a good laugh from nationally-acclaimed comedians, head over to Target Field to catch a baseball game, check out the Fine Line Music Café for a show, or head to Bunker’s Music Bar & Grill for some tunes.
And we can’t forget the shopping. Find fashion-forward women’s apparel, home goods and a wide variety of brands at Parc Shop. Men will love MartinPatrick3 for their stylish clothing and stunning interior. Find all the latest, greatest, and best at the shops in the North Loop!
