Farmers Markets
With more than 25 different farmers markets in Minneapolis, there’s always somewhere to get fresh, healthy produce. Minneapolis prides itself on providing access to locally made foods and goods, and this is reflected in many of our farm-to-table restaurants such as Wise Acre Eatery and Brasa among others. Our farmers markets provide an opportunity for you to create your own farm-to-table dining experience with seasonal, fresh ingredients and knowledgeable vendors to help guide you to the perfect meal.
You’ll find more than just food at our farmers markets, though. Many offer locally made crafts, jewelry, clothing and art. If you’re looking for more of an adventure, head to the Mill City Farmers Market where you’ll often find cooking demonstrations, educational speakers, kids activities and live music in addition to their delicious selection of edible goods. Get a fantastic view of the Stone Arch Bridge and the Mississippi River while you stroll through the market, and explore the Mill City Museum or Guthrie Theatre right next door!
The start of farmers market season is one of the best parts of spring in Minneapolis. They’re a great way to learn about the local food scene and experience our culture. So stop by to pick up a few groceries, or make a day out of it and enjoy samples of fresh food, unique hand-crafted goods and a community of like-minded eaters!
