Eat Street
With more than 30 diverse restaurants, Eat Street has certainly earned its name. Eat Street is a diverse, 17-block stretch along Nicollet Avenue within an eclectic neighborhood that’s home to an array of independent and often family-run businesses. It’s one of the only places where you can have a chocolate bacon donut for breakfast (Glam Doll Donuts), pho for lunch (Pho 79) and vegan tacos for dinner (World Street Kitchen). Whatever your taste is, Eat Street is sure to please.
Take a day to explore new flavors, walk along Eat Street and stop for a few activities along the way. Stop by the Hennepin History Museum to check out the exhibits, visit the Minneapolis Institute of Art for some creative inspiration or pop into Vertical Endeavors to try indoor rock climbing! With a bit of planning, you can head to a show at the Jungle Theater. If the weather is nice, visit Stevens Square Park for a walk and some sun. All of this activity might even have you hungry again! Check out The Copper Hen for delicious cupcakes and baked goods, try The Bad Waitress for a coffee and some retro décor, or make a stop at Centro for superb tacos, nachos, or a Centro Crunch — delicious mixings enclosed in a crispy tortilla.
Get out of your comfort zone, try some new foods and experience our amazing cultural diversity all on one street in Minneapolis!
