CHS Field
Just across the river you’ll find our neighbor, St. Paul, home to CHS Field and the St. Paul Saints. The Saints’ ballpark was first established in St. Paul’s Midway area in 1993. After quite a bit of back and forth, input from city officials and fans and searching for the perfect home, the Saints finally established their permanent residency in the Lowertown area, at CHS Field. Features include just over 7,000 seats, a lawn area for pre-game picnics and a variety of food vendors. One of the most unique features of the ballpark is their sustainability initiative. From tree trenches recycling rain water to composting and taking advantage of solar energy, CHS Field prides itself on being a Clean Green Ballpark. Check out the Saints’ schedule to catch a game this summer.
While baseball is one of the best ways to enjoy CHS Field, there are actually a number of events hosted in the space. Kick off the warm weather season at GrillFest, to sample some amazing grilled foods, summer wine and craft beer. Another one of our favorite events at CHS Field is the Beer Dabbler, the perfect way to sample over 300 craft beers and learn about more than 100 breweries. Enjoy live music, ballpark eats and the beauty of strolling around CHS Field in the sunshine!
Can’t make it to one of these events? No worries – there are plenty of fun things to do in Lowertown after a Saints game. Enjoy the trendy restaurants and cafes, breweries, parks and even the Saint Paul Farmers Market. Located near the Mississippi River, Lowertown is a great place to walk and explore before or after your trip to CHS Field!
