Surly Brewing Co.
Known as a Minnesota staple for their beer, Surly is making a name for themselves in the food scene. They have a full restaurant in their beer hall, serving a variety of snacks to share as well as entrees in a more casual setting. The BBQ is fantastic and their burger does not disappoint. Upstairs they serve up killer New Haven-style pizza on Saturdays and Sundays (they offer curb side pizza to go during their regular business hours) and on Sunday they put on a great brunch. Bring your kids and your pets and enjoy their spacious outdoor patio, complete with games and fire pits.
Fulton Beer
Minneapolis' first taproom, Fulton Beer, started in a garage in the Fulton neighborhood of Minneapolis in 2009 and opened its popular North Loop location in 2011. Their taproom offers classic ales, crisp lagers, and an impressive line up of hard seltzers. Their garage series offers exciting, experimental brews that can only be found at the taproom. Just one block away from Target Field, Fulton is not only serving up incredible beer, but they recently built a full kitchen and are serving up food to pair with their beers.
Day Block Brewing Co.
Day Block is one of the few breweries in the downtown metro offering food, beer and a full-service bar. You’ll find pizza, sandwiches, salads and a variety of bar snacks. But this isn’t your typical bar food. Almost all of their ingredients are locally produced and their food is made from scratch. You won’t just find your typical cheese or pepperoni pizza, they offer Bahn Mizza, Crab Rangoon, and Pollo Diablo among others. Their salads are fresh and full of flavor. You can even build your own if that’s more your style. If you’re looking for something different and unique, try their candied bacon and pickle flight. Pair with a beer and you are set!
Urban Growler
Urban Growler is one of the only women owned breweries in the metro area. They offer a variety of snacks, entrees, burgers, soups and salads. They use local ingredients and everything is prepared fresh. Gluten free or vegan? Just let your server know! They’re willing to meet your dietary needs as best they can. Also make sure to ask about their specials. Each month they have a new lunch, dinner and dessert special. If you’re stopping by on a Friday, don’t pass up their fish fry. Pair with their cornerstone brew, the Midwest IPA, for the ultimate flavor combination.

The Freehouse
Freehouse crafts their beer with the dining experience in mind, making it the perfect spot for dinner and a drink. Their beers aren’t too heavy or filling and they work to complement the flavors in their dishes. They’re truly focused on quality with four core beers that are available year round, and a few seasonals and specialities. If you’re more of a morning person, don’t worry, they have brunch too! They also have a kids menu, so bring the whole family.

They offer unique cider flavors like mango habanero, they created their own line of spirits that they use to create tasty cocktails, and they also offer charcuterie AND pickleball if you feel like some activity is in order. Stop by for a cider and a cheese board, and stay for the pickleball in their bright and airy space.
