2022 Discover NHL Winter Classic®: Minneapolis
This epic, outdoor, wintertime hockey game was made for the Bold North!
Minneapolis and Target Field will host the 2022 Discover NHL Winter Classic® on Jan. 1, 2022, and feature our Minnesota Wild taking on the St. Louis Blues. The New Year’s Day match-up will be the Wild’s first NHL Winter Classic. Faceoff is set for 6 p.m. CT in downtown Minneapolis.

The outdoor game, originally scheduled for New Year’s Day 2021, will mark the second NHL regular-season outdoor game for both the Wild and the Blues. The Wild previously appeared in the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series, a 6-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Feb. 21, 2016.
