USA Fencing National Championships and July Challenge
The largest fencing tournament in the world will feature more than 4,500 competitors from nearly all 50 states competing in more than 100 events over 10 days.

Past Olympians and future Olympic hopefuls will come to Minneapolis this summer as the 2022 USA Fencing National Championships and July Challenge will take place at the Minneapolis Convention Center from July 2-11. The 2022 Championships will include all three fencing disciplines (epee, foil and saber) with categories for athletes ranging in age from eight to 80-plus years old.
Know Before You Go
Everyone in attendance ages 3 and older – including coaches, athletes, spectators and staff – must wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose at all times. The only exception is for fencers during live competition. Everyone in attendance ages 12 and older – including coaches, athletes, spectators and staff – must provide proof of vaccination. Everyone in attendance between the ages of 3 and 11 – including spectators – must provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from within 72 hours of arrival to the venue. When spectators arrive, they will be asked to show their proof of vaccination or negative test result at the registration desk. They will be given a wristband that grants access to the venue. Accessibility
The goal of MCC’s accessible design is to provide equal use of the building for all people including those who use wheelchairs, canes, mobility scooters and those with vision and hearing impairments. Specifically, the facility includes locations for easy curbside drop-off along 2nd Ave., automatic building entrances, automatic 3rd Ave. Parking Ramp doors, power assist doors, and wheelchair-accessible elevators and bathrooms.
