From Boats and Cars to Unicorns and Dinosaurs, Experience it All at the Minneapolis Convention Center
Minneapolis (Jan. 21, 2025) – Finding something fun to see and do this winter and spring is as easy as heading to the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC). Between now and the middle of April, there will be a wide array of shows open to the public. Interactive events will fill exhibit halls of the MCC, including the Minneapolis Boat Show, the Ultimate RV Show, the Minnesota Golf Show, the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show, the Twin Cities Auto Show, and more.
“We’re thrilled to kick off the year with an exciting lineup of public consumer events,” said Jeff Johnson, Executive Director of the Minneapolis Convention Center. “These events bring energy and vibrancy to downtown Minneapolis and also provide unique opportunities for residents and visitors to connect, learn and be inspired. We’re proud to host such a diverse range of experiences, and we can’t wait to welcome hundreds of thousands of attendees to our venue in the coming weeks and months.”
January
- Minneapolis Boat Show – Jan. 23-26: The largest boat show in the Upper Midwest will showcase more than 600 new boats for sale from the industry’s top brands. Whether upgrading to a new boat, researching to make a first purchase, or simply exploring, the Minneapolis Boat Show features the most comprehensive selection of boats, from the latest pontoons and deck boats to fishing boats, wake boats and PWCs.
February
- Community Connections Conference – Feb. 8: This annual free event connects residents of Minneapolis with community groups, neighborhoods and local government departments. This year’s program will feature over 100 booths from the City of Minneapolis and other community organizations, workshops and dialogues on important topics, and performances from local artists.
- Unicorn World – Feb. 8-9: Be transported to the magical world of unicorns and enjoy a day of fun-filled unicorn activities for the whole family, from meeting unique, animatronic unicorns, to exploring the enchanted forest, to unicorn-themed arts and crafts.
- The Ultimate RV Show – Feb. 13-16: This can’t-miss show for RV enthusiasts features the latest makes and models of recreational vehicles from the nation’s top manufacturers. Tour over 300 fully staged RVs, learn from industry pros, and browse the latest RV essentials from industry exhibitors.
- Minnesota Golf Show – Feb. 21-23: Minnesota’s golf season begins with this annual show that features dozens of golf industry exhibitors, game improvement seminars and clinics, the “$100,000 Putt Challenge,” and a Golf Lounge for relaxing and watching the latest action on the links.
- Totally Rad Vintage Fest – Feb. 22-23: The event for vintage collectors and fanatics to come together and indulge in the nostalgia of the 1980s, 90s and Y2K. Browse over 100 premium vintage vendors selling clothing, memorabilia, toys and more nostalgic goods. The event also features activities and interactive elements, including photo-ops, vintage video game stations and more.

- Minneapolis Home + Garden Show – March 5-9: A vibrant marketplace to shop for home-related products and services, experience stunning home and garden displays, connect with industry experts, and enjoy informative presentations from renowned local and international home professionals. Celebrity appearances include HGTV’s Chelsea and Cole DeBoer, and Michel Smith Boyd.
- Northwest Sportshow – March 13-16: The Midwest’s largest outdoors show where guests are invited to find inspiration for all outdoor adventures – both big and small – and peruse their favorite travel destination or sales on the newest products and accessories for fishing, hunting, camping, boating and more.
- Jurassic Quest – March 14-16: America's largest and most realistic dinosaur event. Guests will walk through the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic periods to experience what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs. Jurassic Quest features true-to-life-size dinosaurs – from the very small, to the gigantic, skyscraping dinosaurs.
- GeekCraft Expo – March 22-23: A curated, geek-themed market created by nerds for nerds. The expo features handmade items relating to gaming, comic books, TV shows, and all manner of other geeky pursuits – all handmade by locals.

- Twin Cities Auto Show – April 11-19: The annual chance to compare hundreds of vehicles from both domestic and imported brands. From compacts and family sedans to the latest in SUVs and luxury cars, this event is the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest models straight from the drawing boards of leading automotive manufacturers.
