WHAT:
For the first time ever, X Games and the city of Minneapolis will transform Nicollet Mall into a skate park to celebrate international Go Skateboarding Day on June 21.
Three local Minneapolis skate shops – Cal Surf, Familia and Third Lair – will each design a skateable feature to be placed on Nicollet Mall for the skate session. Those features will later be integrated into the X Fest street course at X Games Minneapolis. X Games host and former pro snowboarder Jack Mitrani will host an open skate session with X Games medalists Nicole Hause, Dashawn Jordan and Yuto Horigome.
The event will also feature local food trucks and entertainment by DJ Mike 2600.
