Waves of creative talent reach Excelsior Commons for 34th annual Art on the Lake

Art on the Lake is an engaging creative experience that connects the artist's personal story with a vibrant lake community and showcases a wide array of high quality art and craft, both contemporary and traditional. Showcasing over sixty new artists and welcoming back Art on the Lake favorites, this juried show attracts talent from across the country, as well as, distinguished local artists. Contemporary and traditional works in jewelry, wood, painting, ceramics, glass, sculpture, fiber arts and mixed media will be showcased. Musician Martin Zellar, as well as bluegrass, acoustic and indie rock groups will perform to audiences of all ages. Hand-crafted food artisans, as well as local food vendors, will be offering their culinary creations in a scenic and comfortable outdoor setting.

New: Chaska Valley Family Theater is sponsoring the Children's Tent and has a rainbow of activities planned that reflect the theme of their summer show, "The Wizard of Oz". Activities include a hands-on experience of building and creating actual set pieces and props for the show, a full orchestra rehearsal with sing-a-long and a vast array of art projects.
