Walker Art Center presents Summer Music & Movies: Playing With Time
WALKER ART CENTER PRESENTS SUMMER MUSIC & MOVIES: PLAYING WITH TIME
The Walkers popular perennial showcase of free films and eclectic music returns to Loring Park and Open Field this summer. In homage to the Walker Art Center exhibition Christian Marclay: The Clock, the first three films in Loring Park all deal with timefrom nail biting noirto a hilarious take on the countdown to nuclear disaster, the program returns to the Walkers Open Field for the closing night of The Clock with musicians Laurent Estoppey, Ikue Mori, and Anthony Coleman perform a moving image graphic score to Marclays Screen Play. Bands kick-start each eveninglook for a mix of local and national luminaries and DJ hosts from 89.3 The Current spinning between the music and films.
