Fun Facts
- 89 teams are from the North Country Region, which includes Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. The majority of the 89 teams are from Twin Cities area.
- 69 courts are laid out at the Minneapolis Convention Center to handle the tournament at its peak times
- The tournament is in its 38th consecutive year and has been in Minneapolis two out of the last four years (2014 and 2017). The event was also hosted in Minneapolis in 2007.

Divisions in Action Today:
All five 14-and-Under Divisions are in Day 2 of the tournament with pool play ending today, while all five 15-and-Under Divisions begin competition today. All age divisions have staggered starts throughout the tournament with the first title matches settled on June 28 and going through July 4.
U.S. Collegiate National Team Competition Running Concurrently with the Girls’ Junior National Championships
The U.S. Collegiate National Team-Minneapolis Program, with 36 of the best collegiate national players, will train this afternoon at the Minneapolis Convention Center today. The three teams will have a round-robin tournament June 27-30 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. University of Minnesota’s Brittany McLean (Rosemount, Minnesota) is part of the program.
