Upper Midwest Flute Association Presents a
Flute Marathon Concert and Instrument Drive at Mall of America®
WHAT: Hundreds of flutists will visit Mall of America® for a Flute Marathon Concert on Saturday, Jan. 31. Hosted by the Upper Midwest Flute Association (UMFA), the eight-hour concert benefits local flute students in their musical studies.
Flutists of all levels, from beginner to professional, are encouraged to come and perform. Each participant must raise a minimum of $25 to perform in the concert. All proceeds will benefit the UMFA Scholarship Fund for young flutists.
Participants are encouraged to bring any unused instruments to support the scholarship program. Gently used instruments of any kind will be collected by UMFAs partner organizations, Hopewell Music Cooperative North and the MusicLink Foundation. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
