Unsound Logic, New Twin Cities Band, Launches Debut CD. Local Motion Story
MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 7, 2011) Unsound Logic, the new and innovative Twin Cities progressive/alt-rock band and local underground darlings, will play a CD release gig Friday, December 16th at 7th Street Entry to launch their debut album, Local Motion Story. The band is scheduled to go on at 10 p.m., joining fellow local rockers The Idle Hands, UVIA, Soul Tree and Boston electro/dance/pop group Gentlemen Hall. The release was produced by Minneapolis mainstay Tom Garneau (Prince, R.E.M., Mason Jennings) and features veteran musicians bassist Andy McClure (Clovis, Wookiefoot, Mighty Fairly), singer/guitarist Nick Vanderheyden (marketing, Hennepin Theatre Trust), guitarist Andy Meyer and drummer Mike Reynolds (former head stick University of Minnesota Marching Band). Unsound Logic is at heart a four-piece rock project and recommended for fans of Incubus, Mars Volta or Muse.
The songs are intelligent, fast-paced, and crisp and feature guitarmonies, powerful pop melodies, and irregular timing and chord structures.
