Training and Job Opportunity Fair
Training and Job Opportunity Fair April 3, 2014 3:30-6:00pm
The Employment Assistance Firm (EAF), led by Summit Academy OIC and working in conjunction with the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA), is identifying a highly-qualified diverse workforce to work on the construction of the new Minnesota Multi-Purpose Stadium. The EAF works in collaboration with 12 community organizations that recruit, and train minorities, women and veterans for employment opportunities on the Minnesota Multi-Purpose Stadium project.
On April 3rd, 2014, the EAF will be hosting a Training and Job Opportunity Fair at the Sabathani Community Center from 3:30 to 6:00pm. This fair will bring together representatives from the Union training centers, top contractors working on the Minnesota Multi-Purpose Stadium and the general public to provide an opportunity for interested candidates to learn more about the nature of the work, the training process and the enrollment requirements.
Contractors and Unions participating in this event will achieve a high level of visibility for their companies, showcase the work they are doing on the Minnesota Multi-Purpose Stadium and will have the potential to gain new, highly-skilled workers.
Each contractor and Union participating in the event will have a booth in which they will be allowed to set up the materials to showcase their company. In addition, Unions will have a chance to speak during the two breakout sessions to highlight their trades.
