Timberwolves Dancers Open Auditions Set for July 19
at Life Time Fitness in Target Center
Prep Classes Slated for May 31, June 21 and July 12;
Finalist Selection Show Held on July 30
Minneapolis/St. Paul The Minnesota Timberwolves Dancers are searching for talented and energetic women who are passionate about dance to become members of the 2014-15 team. The Timberwolves Dancers are holding open auditions on Saturday, July 19 at 12 p.m. (11 a.m. registration) at the Wolves Practice Facility in Life Time Fitness Target Center.
The auditions are open to all aspiring dancers 18 years or older. After the open auditions, finalists will take part in interviews and training camp prior to the Selection Show held at Treasure Island Resort & Casino on Wednesday, July 30.
Details for the audition process are as follows:
- What to Bring: Photo ID, Current Photos: Headshot and Full Body Shot (5x7 or larger preferred; photos are non-returnable), Dance Resume and Professional Resume (if applicable), $20 Registration Fee (cash, credit or check payments accepted upon arrival)
- What to Wear: Crop Top, Hot Shorts, Dance or Athletic Shoes with Non-marking Soles, Full Performance Hair/Make-Up
Prior to the July 19 auditions, the Timberwolves Dancers will host prep classes on May 31, June 21 and July 12 in Life Time Fitness in Target Center. The May 31 class is held from 4 -6 p.m. with registration at 3:30 p.m. The June 21 and July 12 classes are held from 3:30 5:30 p.m. with check in at 3 p.m. The classes cost $20 per session and participants will gain experience learning the Timberwolves Dancers style, while getting an inside look into what it takes to make the team. The Timberwolves Dancers represent the Timberwolves organization at all home games and at numerous events throughout the community each season. A one-year commitment is required from dancers who make the team.
