Tickets Still Available for ASL-Interpreted Performance of Comedy "Attack of the Best of the BNW"
Minneapolis, MN -- The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) is excited to announce that they will be welcoming deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons to enjoy a performance of "Attack of the Best of the Brave New Workshop" with the help of professional ASL interpreters (David Evans, plus a second interpreter TBA). This ASL-interpreted show will be on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 5pm and will take place at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Ave in downtown Minneapolis.
The BNW is celebrating its 55th year of comedy and satire with "Attack of the Best of the Brave New Workshop." This best-of revue rounds up some of the BNW's fans' favorite sketches from recent shows (like "Rainbow Election" and "How to Make Love Like A Minnesotan"), plus vintage sketches, into one monster night of comedy. As with the BNW's previous best-of revues, this satirical and hilarious show promises to be a hit with newcomers and current fans alike.
"Attack of the Best of the Brave New Workshop" features returning BNW cast members Lauren Anderson, Andy Hilbrands, and Taj Ruler. The show will also feature Matt Erkel (last seen on the BNW main stage for "Rainbow Election") and the full-time main stage debut of Tom Reed (previously an understudy on the BNW main stage and cast member of the 2011 staging of "Dudley: Rigged for Laughter"). "Attack" is directed by BNW artistic director Caleb McEwen, with assistance from co-artistic director Katy McEwen. Peter Guertin is returning as musical director, and Dan Peltzman and James Roop are providing technical direction.
