Prior Lake, Minn. (Oct. 5, 2016) ­– New Year’s Eve celebrations will be off to an early start when The Temptations take the stage at Mystic Lake for a 3 p.m. performance Saturday, December 31.

For more than 50 years, The Temptations have been a driving force in popular music with a series of smash hits and sold-out performances worldwide. The history of The Temptations is the history of contemporary American pop. An essential component of the original Motown machine, The Temptations began their musical life in Detroit in the early 1960s. It wasn’t until 1964 that the Smokey Robinson written and produced “The Way You Do the things You Do” turned its members into stars.

An avalanche of unforgettable hits followed, including “My Girl,” “It’s Growing,” “Since I Lost My Baby,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Beauty Is only Skin Deep,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” and “I Can’t Get Next to You.” The Temptations current lineup consists of Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Larry Braggs and Willie Greene Jr.
