The iconic Log Chute ride at Mall of America® turns into the YULE LOG CHUTE this holiday season
WHAT:
The iconic Log Chute ride at Mall of America®, an original ride that opened in 1992, has transformed this holiday season for the first time ever into the YULE LOG CHUTE.
Guests who take a ride on the YULE LOG CHUTE will experience holiday spirit around every turn and drop.
With the help of Project Runway alumni Christopher Straub, Paul Bunyan, who greets riders at the finale of the Log Chute adventure, even got in on the holiday spirit.
Straub created a one-of-a kind ugly holiday sweater for the 25-foot-tall Minnesota legend. Straub also created stockings for both Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox that hang over their fireplace seen in the ride.
The Log Chute will be transformed as the YULE LOG CHUTE through January 1, 2018.
Fun facts about creating the ugly sweater for the 25-foot-tall Paul Bunyan:
It took 40 yards of material to sew the sweater
The sweater weighs 30 pounds
The sleeves are 108 inches long
The neck is 90 inches around
Straub also created limited edition souvenir pins of Paul Bunyan’s ugly sweater. Hey Babe pins are on sale at the Moose Mountain Adventure Golf store on Level 3, North.
Tickets for a single ride on the Log Chute are $6.90. An unlimited ride day pass to Nickelodeon Universe is $35.99. For more information, visit www.Nickelodeonuniverse.com.
