SQUARE EGG ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES FAN FEST EXPANSION
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Square Egg Entertainment Inc., parent company of Phoenix Comicon, LLC is bringing Fan Fest to Minnesota for the first time, August 19-20 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
Minnesota Fan Fest is a joint venture with co-founders and Minnesota natives Dan Jurgens and Matthew Solberg. This celebration of comics, creators, and collectibles offers comic enthusiasts the chance to meet some of the top creators in the industry and provides an exhibit hall full of comics, graphic novels, comic memorabilia, and collectibles suitable for the geek in everyone.
Matt Solberg, Founder and CEO of Square Egg Entertainment Inc., has been reading comics since he was a child and became a comic vendor in his teenage years. Years later, he went back to his roots as a comic book fan and created Phoenix Comicon in 2002 and Phoenix Fan Fest in 2015.
Minnesota Fan Fest co-founder, Dan Jurgens is a comic creator most known for his work on the best-selling Death of Superman comic which won him the National Cartoonists Society Award. Dan also worked on many titles for both DC Comics, Marvel, and more. As Minnesota natives, Matt and Dan have teamed up to bring their love and expertise of comic books back to their home state.
Minnesota Fan Fest is a show by, for, and about local creators, artists, and enthusiasts.
