Dec. 2, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) Dates are now set for the special election to fill Minnesota House of Representatives seat 60A, which was left vacant after the death of Rep. Diane Loeffler.
The special election is Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020. A special primary, if necessary, will take place two weeks earlier on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The candidate filing period begins tomorrow, Dec. 3 and ends 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.
With the special election on Feb. 4, it will be possible for the winning candidate to join the upcoming legislative session, which begins Feb. 11.
