Savannah Wroge joins Meet Minneapolis as sales account executive at Minneapolis Convention Center
MINNEAPOLIS, May 13, 2016 — Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitors Association, has hired Savannah Wroge to join its Minneapolis Convention Center sales team as a sales account executive. Wroge comes from the Doubletree St. Paul, where she was a corporate sales and catering manager.
Savannah brings more than seven years of hospitality experience to Meet Minneapolis, having served in roles ranging from banquet manager at the Depot Renaissance to corporate sales at the Doubletree St. Paul. Recently, she was nominated as a Minnesota MPI Rising Star. Savannah has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an Associate degree in Hospitality Management.
At Meet Minneapolis, Savannah will promote and sell the Minneapolis Convention Center and city of Minneapolis as a premier destination for meetings and events, while achieving room night and revenue goals that positively impact the Minneapolis Convention Center, local hotels, and the community.
“I am excited to welcome Savannah to Meet Minneapolis as a part of the Minneapolis Convention Center sales team,” said Katie Smith, director of sales and marketing at the Minneapolis Convention Center. “Her combined strengths and range of skills will make our team even stronger, helping us grow and expand our network of clients.”
The Minneapolis Convention Center is one of the top 20 largest convention centers in the United States. The building is on 23 acres and has 1.6 million square feet of space. The center hosts approximately 400 events and 750,000 guests per year.
