Senseless! A Brick Foley Adventure is a puppet show inspired by old-time radio shows. In this noir comedy, blind detective Brick Foley must solve a series of murders at the Helen Keller School of Music. With the help of his partner Murphy, he must track down the murderer to save the school and the woman he loves. Staged like a live radio play, the Foley sound effects are brought to life to create puppets and scenery, with plenty of slapstick, live music, and hotdogs.
Senseless! premiered as part of the Puppet Lab series at the renowned St. Anns Warehouse in New York City. It has been performed at the Voice 4 Vision Puppet Festival, Bostons Puppet Showplace Theater, and the New Orleans Fringe Festival, where it was called "a nearly flawless performance" by the NOLA Defender. Inspired by the shows of the Golden Age of radio and by live performances of NPR's Prairie Home Companion, the show brings the exciting and chaotic sound effects props table to life with object-theatre puppetry.
