Minneapolis (March 22, 2018) – Today, Maite Kuhns, a corporate trainer/recruiter at Parasole restaurants, has been named the Hospitality Hero award winner for fourth quarter 2017 by Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitors Association. Given quarterly to a member of the Minneapolis hospitality community who has been nominated by their colleagues, the fourth quarter award was presented at the 2018 Meet Minneapolis Annual Meeting held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The award honors an individual or company that has made valuable contributions to the image and culture of Minneapolis through outstanding hospitality and service
Kuhns’ primary job at Parasole is training new employees who will be working at one of the company’s restaurants. Parasole’s restaurants in the greater Minneapolis area are known for their high quality food and service, including Chino Latino, Libertine, and Manny’s Steakhouse. All employees at any of Parasole’s restaurants are trained by Kuhns, and her contagious positivity has impacted the entire company, according to her nomination by Matthew Engel, a former colleague.
Engel emphasized Kuhns’ welcoming sincerity in everything she does, and said Kuhns is always smiling, and always teaching. “Maite is a hidden gem in Minneapolis. I wish more people knew about her positivity. She is a great asset to this city,” says Engel. “Ask any person about Maite and their faces will light up.”
Kuhns has demonstrated superior hospitality with Parasole restaurants for over eight years.
