New Elliot Park Hotel Opens in Minneapolis
Minneapolis (Oct. 5, 2018) – As autumn colors sweep the city, bringing with them cozy clothing, food and décor, Minneapolis visitors and locals have yet another opportunity to indulge in all things “hygge” with the opening of the Elliot Park Hotel, Autograph Collection. Minneapolis has been a hot hotel market with occupancies remaining high enough to spur development of 1,538 new rooms that have opened in the past 18 months.
The brand-new Elliot Park Hotel – a Marriott property in the downtown Elliot Park neighborhood -- combines a chic, urban oasis of modern Minnesota hospitality with feelings of warmth, intimacy and comfort that define the Danish word. With 155 rooms and 13 suites, the hotel is only five blocks from the downtown core and five blocks from U.S. Bank Stadium (home to last February’s Super Bowl LII and the 2019 NCAA Men’s Final Four basketball tournament). The pet-friendly boutique hotel offers luxury amenities and the chance to wind down with a craft brew in the adjacent Finnegans Brew Co. – a lively bar with an outdoor patio. Guests of Elliot Park Hotel even get to enjoy a very special Finnegans experience in their exclusive Brewer’s Den private social club.
Hotels that opened earlier in 2018 include the playful, music-themed Moxy Minneapolis Uptown and chic LuMinn Hotel Minneapolis. Additional construction and development are underway with these planned Minneapolis hotels:
· Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis Mill District, under construction with planned opening Spring 2019
· Moxy Minneapolis Downtown, under construction with planned opening Spring 2019
· Westin Element Minneapolis, under construction with planned opening Fall 2019
· Cambria Suites & Fairfield Inn, construction planned for opening in 2020
· Six other hotels are proposed or in the development process, including brands like West Elm and Hilton Tru & Home2 Suites
