Minnesota Zoo Unveils New Beastly Bash for 30th Anniversary of the Event
Calling all wild hearts! The Minnesota Zoo has teamed up with Target to bring an unforgettable and newly reimagined experience to the biggest event of the year, the Beastly Bash. Tickets are on sale now to get down with your spotted, striped or furry self on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Proceeds from the “wild summer night” will support the Minnesota Zoo’s mission of connecting people, animals and the natural world to save wildlife.
New this year, the party will be taken outdoors so man and beast alike can feel the summer breeze in their fur hair. Guests will also enjoy a special musical performance by Kat Perkins, hometown vocal hero, finalist on NBC’s The Voice’ and animal enthusiast.
The Beastly Bash will still include annual favorites such as exciting animal encounters, signature cocktails and delicious food stations for guests to feed their wild side, a silent auction to raise funds in support of the Zoo’s programming and other initiatives, and a dance party – this year taking place under the stars for a celebration fit for the finest nocturnal revelers. Guests can also enjoy the acquaintances of exotic animals both roaming the bash and on exhibit – including sea otters, leopards, tigers and more.
Formerly known as the Beastly Ball, this year’s themed event will be wildly chic, encouraging guests to leave their penguin suits at home, in exchange for their favorite animal prints and exotic jewelry. The Beastly Bash, featuring KARE 11’s Belinda Jensen as this year’s emcee, is the Minnesota Zoo’s annual premiere event, engaging more than 500 corporate and philanthropic leaders every year. Funds raised at this event will support the work of the Minnesota Zoo and programs like Free to Explore, which eliminates barriers and provides access to all Minnesota children and families.
