The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority Job Opportunity Fair
EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE FIRM TO HOLD TRAINING AND JOB OPPORTUNITY FAIR FOR WORK ON THE NEW MINNESOTA MULTI-PURPOSE STADIUM
The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority is building the new Minnesota Multi-Purpose Stadium, and has contracted with an Employment Assistance Firm (EAF) to help identify women, minorities and veterans to work on the stadium project.
On April 3, 2014 from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, the EAF will hold a Training and Job Opportunity Fair at the Sabathani Community Center. The fair will benefit two key groups of people: First, connecting skilled trades workers with opportunities on the stadium construction site and, secondly, also connecting other individuals needing trades training to career opportunities in the construction field.
WHO: Employment Assistance Firm; Mortenson Construction and representatives from the trade unions.

WHY: The stadium enabling legislation requires the MSFA to enter into a contract with an employment assistance firm to recruit and train women, minorities and veterans for work on the stadium project.
