Minneapolis Marriott City Center bell captain honored with Meet Minneapolis Hospitality Hero award
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 18, 2015 Thomas Moore, bell captain for the Minneapolis Marriott City Center, has been awarded the third quarter 2014 Hospitality Hero award from Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitors Association. The award honors an individual or company who has contributed significantly to the public image of Minneapolis through outstanding hospitality and service.
Moore was nominated by two different former colleagues, Paul Barnes and Wayne Johnstone. Both nominators have been continuously impressed with Moores hospitality and humble nature.
Moore has been with Marriott City Center for more than 30 years and, according to the nominations, continues to greet guests with the same smile, warmth, and welcome every day. With his dedication to Minneapolis and the hospitality industry, Moore has been a mentor and friend to many colleagues and a welcoming guide to countless guests.
He personifies the Midwestern welcome every day without any expectation of compensation, recognition or reward, Barnes said.
Johnstone is similarly impressed by Moores dedication to enhancing the visitors experience and commitment to Minneapolis hospitality industry.
I could not believe how many of our guests would ask me if he was on duty. He would remember each one and inquire about family or other trips. He even gets invited to weddings and birthdays of guests and their family, Johnstone said.
The Meet Minneapolis Hospitality Hero award is given quarterly to members of the Minneapolis hospitality community who have been nominated by their peers.
