Millennium Minneapolis Hotel’s Jeff Berres Honored with the Meet Minneapolis ‘Hospitality Hero’ Award
Minneapolis (May 13, 2021) – Jeff Berres, Executive Chef at Millennium Minneapolis Hotel, has been named the Hospitality Hero award winner for first quarter 2021 by Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitors Association. The award is given to a member of the Minneapolis tourism and hospitality community who has been nominated by their colleagues for their valuable contributions to the image and culture of Minneapolis through outstanding service.
Joseph Dickey, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Millennium Minneapolis, nominated Berres for his commitment to excellence and dedication to his culinary craft. Berres led the hotel’s culinary team in providing three hot and nutritious meals a day to 200-300 of the Minneapolis community’s most vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness since April 2020.
“Chef Berres has risen to this challenge every single day and provided the highest level of quality, creativity and care to our guests,” said Dickey. “He’s worked within budget constraints, managed staffing level challenges every hotel team has faced during the pandemic and has mastered an unrelenting schedule all while remaining positive and creating a meal plan that we would be proud to serve any guest we welcomed into our hotel.”
Berres joined the Millennium Minneapolis Hotel in December 2019 and his career spans well over a decade in the hospitality industry.
“Chef Berres has a work ethic that demonstrates the soul of hospitality in this city,” Dickey added. “In the face of extreme adversity, he has provided the highest level of comfort and care to our guests that every individual in this industry aims to deliver.”
