Meet Minneapolis Welcomes New Director of Marketing Amanda DePhillips
(July 22, 2011) Minneapolis Experience in corporate communications and marketing, interactive project management and media relations will serve Amanda DePhillips well as she takes on her new position as director of marketing with Meet Minneapolis: Official Convention + Visitors Association.
DePhillips has an accomplished range of job titles, from publications supervisor for the Minnesota State Fair to marketing and public relations manager of metroConnections Inc.; her most recent title. She has excellent experience at the convention and visitors bureau (CVB) level, as she has proven success from her time as vice president of communications for Visit St. Paul. She served on the Charlie Brown Around Town (Saint Paul) event committee, which received an award for Marketing Excellence from the Minnesota Office of Tourism in 2001. DePhillips has also built strong relationships with local and national trade publications.

As director of marketing, DePhillips will be responsible for managing the production of marketing campaigns for Internet, publications, presentations, creative development and advertising efforts while maintaining the Meet Minneapolis brand and message throughout.
Amanda has held marketing and public relations roles for well-known industry brands, providing her with an exceptional grasp of the intricate aspects of destination marketing, said Amy Alegi, vice president of destination branding & strategy. Her overall industry experience will play a vital and strategic role in supporting all of our sales efforts.
