Minneapolis (Feb. 13, 2012) Meet Minneapolis, Convention + Visitors Association, announced today the hiring of Christine Segal as the new senior national account executive for Destination Sales in Washington, D.C. She brings 20 years of experience in the meetings and hospitality industry to her new position.

Segal was most recently the director of national accounts, Eastern Region, for the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, and previously worked for Hyatt Hotels in Washington, D.C., and the Nashville, Tenn., Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Segal became a certified meeting planner in 2005, and is a long-time member of Meeting Professionals International and the Association of Meeting Professionals. She is a graduate of Penn State University where she studied Recreation and Parks with an emphasis in Commercial Recreation and Tourism.

As senior national account executive for Meet Minneapolis, Christine will oversee sales efforts and lead Meet Minneapolis D.C. area sales team, which includes one national account executive in D.C. and another in Minneapolis, along with an administrative assistant. She will handle the government market and other key segments in the D.C. area.
