Meet Minneapolis hires new tourism marketing manager
MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 25, 2013) With a background in business-to-business advertising and tourism marketing, Bridget Kiely joins Meet Minneapolis, Convention & Visitors Association as the new tourism marketing manager. Kiely comes to Minneapolis from Chicago-based advertising agency Davis Harrison Dion, where she managed several tourism-related accounts including the Lake County, Ill., Convention & Visitors Bureau. Prior to working in the agency industry, Kiely served as a public relations intern for Choose Chicago.
Kiely helped develop the strategy for and served as project manager for the 90 Minutes of Amazing video for Chicagos First Lady Cruises which was awarded the Best Electronic Marketing Illinois Excellence in Tourism Award.
Im thrilled to be a part of this organization. I am excited to contribute my advertising background and knowledge to the overall strategy of marketing Minneapolis, City By Nature, Kiely said.
As tourism marketing manager, Kiely will be responsible for development of leisure travel promotions, promoting Meet Minneapoliss wedding and group services, as well as offering support to the partnership marketing team.
Bridgets comprehensive background in both public relations and tourism makes her a valuable addition to our destination branding and marketing team, said Amanda DePhillips, director of marketing. Her work with the city of Chicago translates seamlessly to what we do here in Minneapolis. She is a natural in her role as tourism marketing manager, and we look forward to her future contributions as an integral part of Meet Minneapolis.
