Mall of America announces its first Shop Local Market for the holidays
MINNEAPOLIS, MN—Tuesday, November 10, 2015
Mall of America announced today that its Shop Local Market featuring nearly two dozen Minnesota brands will be located on level 1, north from Black Friday on November 27 through December 27. Brands will include clothing for men, women, and kids, as well as sportswear, accessories, beauty products and more.
Among the brands that will have a space in the Shop Local Market are Mill City Fineries, the maker of handmade, small-batch menswear accessories, Elixery Cosmetic House, dpHUE professional colorBAR, Wool & Whiskey handmade goods, Cooper & Kids, St. Croix Chocolate Co., My Sister and the Minnesota Twins.
“Mall of America works with hundreds of local businesses each year, including many who are tenants of the mall such as Hammer Made, Creative Kidstuff and more,” said Jill Renslow, SVP of marketing and business development at Mall of America. “The Shop Local Market is an opportunity to highlight a collection of up-and-coming brands, created in Minnesota, and help them reach millions of new customers throughout the holiday season.”
Each brand will showcase a variety of merchandise, including top-selling items as well as gift ideas for the season. The goal of the Shop Local Market is to support local brands and help expose them to a broader audience – literally millions – of shoppers throughout the holidays.

The Shop Local Market will be open during mall hours starting Black Friday (November 27) through December 27, and will be located on level 1, north next to Santaland. Additional brands may be added.
