Macys Downtown Minneapolis store opens its heart and doors to welcome 200 children for 4th Annual
MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 30, 2011) - Macys Downtown Minneapolis store will once again host 200 local pre-school children enrolled in Parents in Community Action (PICA) Head Start program during Macys 4th Annual Operation Happy Children event Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 7:30 to 9:30AM.
The magic on schedule for these 200 children beginning at 7:30AM and concluding at 9:30AM includes
- Stop #1: Breakfast in the Sky Room with entertainment by elves, balloon twisters and music. Each child will receive a Believe T-Shirt to wear and will also get a special Believe temporary tattoo.
- Stop #2: A tour through Macys Santaland® concluding with a visit with Santa Claus.
- Stop #3: A stop by Macys Believe mailbox to drop off their letters to Santa. For every letter received, Macys will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish® Foundation, up to $1 million, as part of Macys Believe campaign.
- Stop #4: The children will depart the store with a shopping bag full of presents including a plush and their choice of a toy.
Event begins in the Sky Room on the 12th floor, continues on the 8th Floor in Macys Santaland and concludes on the 1st floor.
About Macys Operation Happy Children:
Macys Operation Happy Children has been an annual holiday tradition in other Macys locations for 60 years. The event brings smiles to the faces of the citys most needy children helping to make their holiday wishes come true. In addition, each child receives a Believe gift bag filled with a stuffed animal and a favorite toy.
