Lucky winner strikes $1.5 million slot jackpot at Mystic Lake

Prior Lake, Minn. (Sept. 9, 2016) – Last night at 8:32 p.m., Chanhassen resident Juli Smith won $1,591,402 playing Wild Cherry slots at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake. This is one of the biggest jackpots in Mystic Lake’s history.

“Winning a jackpot of this magnitude is rare,” said Tom Polusny, general manager of Mystic Lake. “We are preparing to celebrate our 25th anniversary next year. Looking back, this is our third largest jackpot in Mystic Lake’s history.”

The very happy winner, who was at Mystic Lake enjoying a celebratory evening with her friends and husband of 16 years, could hardly believe her luck. “I'm numb. It's like this isn't real. Will you pinch me?” When asked what she's going to do with the money, Smith responded, “College for my son. That's all I care about.”
