LORNA LANDVIK OPENS THE REC ROOM EARLY

Her annual solo improv show on BLB stage Dec. 27-Jan. 12

This year, the fun comes early as Lorna Landviks PARTY IN THE REC ROOM sneaks in a few December performances before her usual January run. Opening Friday, Dec. 27 at the Bryant Lake Bowl (810 W. Lake St., Minneapolis), this show is unlike any other as it is the only one-person improvised comedy bash in the entire known universe (performed by a best-selling author, that is)! Lornas perennially popular PARTY IN THE REC ROOM will be on stage for 9 performances for three weekends through January 12. Tickets are $15 in advance ($18 day of show) and can be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com.

Party in the Rec Room promises a fresh cast of characters at every fiesta. Each performance is made up on the spot, every night! (Although due to audience demand, there is a recurring hillbilly.) And just as fitting to the rec room party theme are Lornas show-opening margaritas, which she blends on stage to add to the merriment.

Named in 2012 as one of Twin Cities Business 200 Minnesotans You Should Know, Lorna is known nationally as the author of nine novels. Local audiences also know her as an actor. A former member of Dudley Riggs, Landvik has appeared with Theater 911, Joel Sass Mary Worth Theater, and in several shows she wrote and performed at the Bryant Lake Bowl.

For several years, she has jumped into the thrills of solo improvisation in MY BACKYARD PARTY and PARTY IN THE REC ROOM, where its a new show every night.
