BLOOMINGTON, MN— October 7, 2019

Legacy Toys, a Minnesota-based toy store, will open their 7th and largest store at Mall of America® this Fall. The new 7,500 square-foot flagship store will open on level 3, North.

Legacy Toys, originally founded in Ely, Minnesota in 2012, is a unique original toy store that is devoted to helping kids ignite their imagination through exploration and play. Each location provides its own interactive experiences with one-of-a-kind displays featuring intricate play areas and some including animatronic dinosaurs.

“The power of play is being lost in today’s society and we strongly believe it is crucial for kids to express themselves through creative and imaginative play,” said founders Brad and Mistaya Ruoho. “We are focused on helping families nurture our future leaders, inventors and creative thinkers. Earlier this year Legacy Toys was listed on the INC 5000 fastest growing companies and was number 18 in Minnesota. Legacy Toys is also a proud member of the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association. This is a non-profit organization that serves more than 1,800 independent retailers, manufacturers and sales representatives of the specialty toy industry.

The Midwest toy store currently has locations across Minnesota and North Dakota including Duluth, Ely and Fargo. The Mall of America location will join two new and recently opened stores in Minnetonka and Edina.
