iDSS collaborates with Destination Marketing Association International on Event Impact Calculator
MINNEAPOLIS (April 20, 2012) Destination marketing industry software innovator iDSS announced today that it has received approval for its work with Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) and Tourism Economics to integrate DMAIs new, revolutionary Event Impact Calculator into the iDSS software system. This integration is among the first customer record management (CRM) systems in the industry to provide this seamless integration. This great new enhancement is already live in the iDSS system.
The Event Impact Calculator will provide destination marketing organizations (DMOs, or convention and visitors bureaus/associations [CVBs/CVAs]) measurement of the economic value of an event and calculate the events return on investment to the local community. Armed with this information, DMOs will be better prepared to demonstrate the relevance of events and the impact of using tax dollars to develop and grow the sector using highly localized data. The calculator includes multiple sources of data presented in one cohesive report that includes direct and indirect visitor spending, jobs/wages and tax impacts.
Our development team has been working closely with the DMAI team since the DMAI Annual Convention last July to bring this fantastic tool to our clients as an inclusion of their subscription to the iDSS system, said Mark Lynch, vice president of Sales & Marketing, iDSS. Through collaboration with several of our imaginative clients, we have included several unique features in the way the calculator interfaces with our CRM system. Our clients drive our product development.
