MINNEAPOLIS (January 19, 2014) Nothing says romance like an evening spent enjoying a sumptuous meal with your special someone. Woo your loved one and heat things up with FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar as Executive Chefs Paul Lynch and James Kyndberg invite sweethearts to indulge in a Valentines Day Menu, available February 13-14.
Executive Chef Paul Lynch is embracing the holiday with a decadent three-course menu ($45 plus tax and gratuity) at FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar at Mall of America. Begin with Roast Candy Stripe Beets, Orange, Arugula & Burrata Salad with puffed wild rice and a cinnamon citrus vinaigrette; followed by Mesquite Grilled Petite Hereford Filet & Jumbo Freshwater Prawns with roasted fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. The dinner will finish with Amarenata Cherry-Almond Tart with a brown butter filling and crème fraiche. To elevate the experience, the Champagne Flight ($30) enhances the dishes and will certainly impress loved ones. The Champagne Flight includes three 3-ounce pours: Brut, Roederer Estate, California; Brut Premier, Louis Roederer, France; Brut Rosé, Louis Roederer, France.
Executive Chef James Kyndberg FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar in Downtown Minneapolis has created a four course prix-fixe menu perfect for couples ($99 per couple plus tax and gratuity). For the first course, each person can choose between Tomato Fennel Bisque with a gruyere grilled cheese crouton or Spinach and Pecan Salad with polenta croutons, shaved parmesan, orange filets, and fig dressing. The second course, for sharing, allows couples to select between Charcoal Grilled East Coast Oysters with garlic butter, panko, and fresh herbs or Grilled Artichoke Five Cheese Fondue served with flatbread and tomato basil relish. For the main course, each person can select the Arctic Char with Alaskan Snow Crab, truffle hollandaise, sautéed spinach, and roasted fingerling potatoes or Beef Short Rib Braised in Red Wine, Beet, and Balsamic Reduction, potato and celery root gratin, and caramelized sprouts. To end on a sweet note, the dessert course offers a choice of Warm Banana Cake with chocolate glaze and coffee ice cream or Passion Fruit Panna Cotta with coconut Anglaise and fresh berries. This special menu also includes one complimentary glass of Prosecco per guest.

Inspired by the St. Paul Winter Carnival, the Vulcan Devil Martini ($12) is comprised of Patron, Incendio, Raspberry Schnapps, Kahlua, and boasts a cayenne pepper rim for a bit of heat.
