WHAT: Hal Sparks and feature act Charlene Mae will take the Mystic Comedy Club stage at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30, at Mystic Lake.

From his teenage years to his current film, TV and comedy career, Hal Sparks has showed the world his comedic talents and affable personality. He was named “Funniest Teenager in Chicago” by the Chicago Sun Times and rose to fame hosting the Emmy-Award winning Talk Soup. He starred for five seasons on the hit series Queer as Folk and appeared in films Extract, Spiderman 2 and Dude, Where’s My Car? Sparks is a pop culture expert and is a regular on Joy Behar and Your Money.

Now a star in Lab Rats, the 20-year comedy veteran continues to tour the country and is a star commentator on I Love the 80’s and can be heard on the Stephanie Miller Radio Show. Sparks has appeared on The Tonight Show, Larry King Live, Charlie Rose, Good Morning America, The View and Jimmy Kimmel. Now a best-selling DVD, his one-hour Showtime comedy special Charmageddon showcases his razor-sharp wit that fans have come to expect from one of the top stand-up comedians working today.

Charlene Mae has opened for headliners such as Jeff Dunham, Mark Curry and Bill Engvall. She was featured on Rules of Engagement for three seasons, was a regular on Baby Daddy and was featured on Scott Baio’s sitcom See Dad Run.
