How to Be a Korean Woman is a hilarious, heartfelt and personal telling of Korean-American adoptee Sun Mee Chomet's (The Burial at Thebes, The Intelligent Homosexual..., The Two Gentlemen of Verona) search for her birth family in Seoul, South Korea. This poignant one-woman show -- told from the perspective of an adult adoptee -- uses text, music and movement to explore themes of family, love, adulthood and the universal longing to know one's past. On the heels of Chomet's two sold-out Twin Cities engagements and recent performances in Seoul, South Korea, the Guthrie welcomes her groundbreaking production to the Dowling Studio for just four performances.
