THE GREAT MIDWEST RIB FEST RETURNS

JULY 24 26 AT MYSTIC LAKE

PRIOR LAKE JULY 7, 2015 ­ Rib, art and music lovers wont want to miss all the fun when The Great Midwest Rib Fest returns to Mystic Lake July 24 through 26. The outdoor festival will feature some of the nations best rib cookers, The Great Midwest Art Fest and free concertsall part of Hot Summer Fun at Mystic Lake.

The event runs Friday, July 24 from 5 to 11 p.m.; Saturday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, July 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to all ages.

The Great Midwest Rib Fest will feature ten rib cookers competing for thousands in cash prizes and bragging rights that come with winning this esteemed event. Professional culinary and media personalities will be judging the same ribs that are served to the public. The general public will also be able to vote for their favorite ribs and sauce by casting a ballot for the Best of the Fest peoples choice award.

Art enthusiasts will enjoy The Great Midwest Art Fest, featuring artists specializing in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, photography, watercolors and wood.

Music lovers will want to mark their calendars for free concerts by local and top-name entertainment. Headlining Fridays line-up is Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Saturday night is Little Texas and Joe Diffie and Sunday is A Flock of Seagulls. LOCATION: All events will take place outside Mystic Lake in the parking area off Mystic Lake Blvd. near Dakotah Meadows RV Park and the hotel entrance.
