GEORGE WINSTON PERFORMS SOLO CONCERT AT ORCHESTRA HALL, Dec. 22
Pianist George Winston has given more than two dozen performances at Orchestra Hall, including solo holiday shows in both 2015 and 2016. On December 22 he returns to perform his “Winter Show,” which includes many of his beloved fall- and winter-inspired songs; Vince Guaraldi’s Peanuts® pieces; music inspired by the New Orleans piano and stride piano traditions; and songs from his most recent and upcoming recordings.
Since 1986, Winston has been raising money for food banks and service organizations, and he continues to do so by working with local food banks throughout his tour, holding a canned food drive at each concert. He will also donate 100 percent of proceeds from the sale of his merchandise at this concert to a local organization.
This concert is performed at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 8 p.m., with ticket prices ranging from $30 to $60. More information is available at minnesotaorchestra.org and by phone at 612-371-5656. For further purchasing details, refer to the information section at the conclusion of this press release.
