Indie rockers Saint Motel are back with their first new music since 2016—The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the first of a three-part album that will be unveiled over the next few months. Accompanying the album announcement is a set of tour dates, including a stop at First Avenue on Saturday, February 29.

Over the course of the last 25 years, accomplished artist Devin Townsend has remained consistently inconsistent. That is, he’s rarely what we’ve come to expect of him. Invariably creating unique inroads with many different styles of music, he follows his particular muse any way it leads him—and has for almost three decades. Townsend’s Empath Vol. 1 North American Tour stops at First Avenue with Haken and The Contortionist on March 19.

Following their last visually stunning Mainroom show in 2018, Swedish four-piece Little Dragon return to First Avenue on April 29. Frontwoman Yukimi Nagano explains the group’s unique brand of futuristic, “transportative” pop to Interview Magazine: “When it really affects you, it gives you that feeling—whether it’s a dance-y club music or more specifically music that makes your fantasy go somewhere…it makes you feel really happy and elevated. It’s the power of any type of music, that’s why it’s so addictive for people.”
