Wet Felted Table Runner or Trivet
Saturday, November 23, from 1-4 p.m., at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Join farm staff and create a unique felted table runner or trivet. Learn how our sheeps fleece is processed into fiber, as well as the techniques of wet felting that fiber with other fabrics to add color and texture. Materials are included in the program fee. Cost is $35 and reservations are required by November 19. This program is for ages 12+. Reference activity number #437425-09.
SAORI Weaving
Saturday, November 23, from 1-4 p.m., at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Join fiber artist Chiaki OBrien to learn this unique weaving technique. Different from traditional weaving, Saori places more importance on free expression and creativity than on technical skill or regularity of the woven cloth. The warp will be set for students to start weaving right away. Take home what you weave! Your finished project might be a holiday scarf, table runner or wall hanging. Cost is $45 and reservations are required by November 19. This program is for ages 8+. Reference activity number #437425-08.
