Lets Get stARTed
Sunday, November 10, from 1-3 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Enjoy a free art activity on us! During this monthly program, families can drop in and try their hand at something new, check out the current show in our gallery, and explore the grounds. Stay for a while or pack a picnic and spend your afternoon at Silverwood. Each month we will have a new theme that features some of our upcoming activities at the park. Lets get stARTed! This program is free and open to all ages.
Walk With a Naturalist
Sunday, November 10, from 1-2 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Join a naturalist for an hour-long walk along the paved trails at Silverwood. Well keep our eyes and ears open for seasonal birds and other park inhabitants as we stroll along the lake, through the savanna, and into the woods. Bring binoculars if you have them! This program is free and open to all ages.
Caring for Winter Birds
Sunday, November 10, from 1-3 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Learn about the birds that brave Minnesotas frigid winter, and how you can help them survive until next spring. Make a small wooden bird feeder and learn about the best kinds of bird seeds to put into it. Learn how to make suet to attract a wide array of birds. Cost is $6.50 and reservations are required. Squirreling Around
Saturday, November 16, from 10-11:30 a.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. You may love them or hate them, but we all have to live with them. Discover their amazing habits, learn which squirrel family members live in Minnesota, and play a game to see if you are as smart as a squirrel. Take a hike to find the perfect homes for squirrels. Cost is $5 and this program is open to all ages.
Urban Winter Birds
Saturday, November 16, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Minneapolis. Join a naturalist to discover birds that stay in Minnesota when others have migrated. Learn how to identify birds by field marks. Watch birds at the feeding station from the nature center window, and find out who migrates to Minnesota in winter. Discover how to become a part of Cornell Universitys citizen science Feeder Watch Program. Bring your binoculars or use ours. Take a brief hike to the river if the weather is good. Refreshments will be provided. Cost is $5 and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number #416917-04. This program is for ages 14+.

Three Rivers Park District is a natural resources-based park system that manages park reserves, regional parks, regional trails and special-use facilities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
