Spring Nests and Eggs
Sunday, April 15, from 1-3 p.m., at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, (west side) Brooklyn Park. Grass, sticks, leaves, spider webs see what birds use to make their nests and try your luck at building one without using fingers! Discover the variety of colors and shapes of eggs. Drop in anytime. This program is free and open to all ages.
Free Family Fun Day: April Ants in Your Pants?
Sunday, April 15, from 1-3 p.m., at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Minneapolis. Are you getting antsy to get out of the house? The ants of Minnesota are, and soon theyll be busy at work for the season! From your kitchen floor to sidewalks, ants are everywhere! Discover the secrets of ants, how they spend the winters, what theyre saying to one another, and what exactly they are doing moving all that dirt around. This program is free and open to all ages.
Walk with a Naturalist
Sunday, April 15, from 1-2 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Take a guided walk along Silverwoods trails. Well keep our eyes and ears open for birds and other critters as we stroll along the lake, through the savannah, and into the woods. Come every month to experience how the park and its animal residents change throughout the year. Bring binoculars if you have them! This program is free and open to all ages.
Let's get stARTed
Sunday, April 15, from 1-3 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Enjoy a free art activity on us! During this monthly program families can drop in and try their hand at something new, check out the current show in our gallery, and explore the grounds. Stay for awhile or pack a picnic and spend your afternoon at Silverwood. Each month we will have a new theme that features some of our upcoming activities at the park. This months theme is Irresistible. Go on a gallery scavenger hunt in the MN Watercolor Society Exhibition and create your own watercolor resist painting. This program is free and open to all ages.

Raptors in the Yard
Sunday, April 15, from 2-4 p.m., at Lowry Nature Center in Carver Park Reserve, Victoria. Meet a captive merlin and barred owl up close and personal and learn about these amazing birds of prey. Cameras welcome. This program is free and open to all ages.
IN THE SOUTH METRO
Raptors in the Yard
Sunday, April 15, from 3-4 p.m., at Richardson Nature Center, in Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Bloomington. See live birds of prey, learn their survival strategies, and find out why they live in captivity. Cameras welcome. Drop in anytime. This program is free and open to all ages.

Three Rivers Park District is a natural resources-based park system that manages park reserves, regional parks, regional trails and special-use facilities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The Park District offers facilities for every season, including picnicking, swimming, creative play, boating, fishing, downhill skiing,
