Experience the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District While Downtown at the “First Thursdays” Event at Minneapolis Visitor Information
Minneapolis (April 26, 2018) – Minneapolis Visitor Information on Nicollet is bringing the rich arts culture of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District to downtown for its monthly “First Thursdays” event. On May 3, watch live demonstrations by painter Tracy Frizzell and polymer clay artist Layl McDill between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Visitors can also enter to win Theater Latte Da tickets, get information about the arts district, sample a decadent taste of “Nordeast,” and more.
During the upcoming First Thursdays event, guests will have an opportunity to learn about Minneapolis’ official arts district neighborhood from representatives from Northeast Minneapolis Art District. Complimentary Salted Almond Butter Chocolate mini donuts from Sleepy V’s Donut Bar will be available (one per person), while supplies last. Plus, customers will receive a 10 percent discount on all Love from Minneapolis merchandise all day.

First Thursdays are held each month to encourage residents, employees of downtown businesses and visitors to learn more about Minneapolis Visitor Information and its partners, Love from Minneapolis and Move Minneapolis, as well as highlight community organizations and events. Minneapolis Visitor Information is located at 505 Nicollet, Suite 100, directly across from the Nicollet METRO station.
