MINNEAPOLIS (October 3, 2014) With Autumn turning Minneapolis ablaze with the changing of the seasons, FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar in Downtown Minneapolis embraces the season with a new menu featuring comfort favorites with a Minnesotan modern twist and exclusive events to experience the best this time of year offers. Taking cue of the seasons best ingredients, Executive Chef Jim Kyndberg unveils dishes incorporating local game and warming flavors, and teams up with Ron Schara of Minnesota Bound to host a wild game dinner.
AUTUMN CLASSICS, MINNESOTA INSPIRED
Executive Chef Kyndberg introduces autumn dishes that showcase his passion for taking classic dishes and infusing them with Minnesotan inspiration. The menu features dishes such as Bison Bourguignon with fingerling potatoes, carrots, cippolini onions, and mushrooms; Northern Fried Chicken that is buttermilk marinated and wild rice flour dredged, with white cheddar-herb mashed potatoes, broccolini, and natural gravy; Duck Gnudi with Wild Acres duck breast, roasted mushrooms, oven dried tomatoes, and shaved Brussels sprouts; Lenas Meatballs (pork, duck, and beef), which is Swedish-inspired with porcini mushroom sauce and lingonberry compote; and Venison Bolognese with eggless strigaloni pasta and shaved parmesan. For a dessert with a bit of a kick, the cocktail team at FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar has created delicious dessert cocktails inspired by its home state that are the perfect way to conclude a meal including Minnesota Nice with Godiva White Chocolate, Absolut Vanillia, Galliano, and Bittercube Cherrybark Vanilla bitters; The Fire In Cider with Fireball Whiskey, lemon juice, Jamaican #1 bitters, and hot apple cider; and Coffee Dont-cha Know with Ricacha Horchata, Godiva Mocha, and coffee.
ROTATING ROTISSERIE
With a nod to FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bars philosophy of fresh, local and sustainable food often touched with a hint of smoke fire, FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar features signature rotisserie items and is unveiling a rotating rotisserie menu this fall that is sure to excite every rotisserie fans palate. Signature rotisserie dishes include Rosemary Rotisserie Chicken with Minnesota raised chicken, roasted root vegetables and natural jus; Honey Cured Duroc Pork Chop, which is apple-pecan smoked with bacon marmalade, grilled polenta, and shaved Brussels sprouts; and Certified Hereford Prime Rib hand carved with fresh horseradish sauce, white cheddar-herb mashed potatoes, and au jus. The new rotating rotisserie menu will feature: Lamb Shoulder (Thursday) with soft polenta and grilled broccolini; Wild Acres Duck (Friday) with braised cabbage and roasted fingerling potatoes; Venison Strip Loin (Saturday) with white cheddar-herb mashed potatoes and roasted roots; and Wild Acres Turkey (Sunday) with stuffing, Brussels sprouts, and natural gravy.
EXCLUSIVE WILD GAME DINNER WITH MINNESOTA BOUND
On Thursday, November 16, Executive Chef Kyndberg will host an exclusive Wild Game Dinner with Minnesota Bound host Ron Schara. Chef Kyndberg has created a menu featuring Minnesotas wild game infused with the essence of fall. The menu will feature Crawfish Gumbo with duck sausage and wild boar bacon paired with Surly Bender; Pheasant Roulade with Swiss chard and kabocha squash paired with Tetuna La Marchesa Gavi; Rabbit Meatballs with porcini mushroom sauce and papardelle pasta paired with Etude Pinot Noir; Rotisserie Venison with celery root and potato gratin, and red wine reduction infused with spruce and juniper paired with Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon; and Rustic Apple Tart with sweet corn ice cream and smoked caramel sauce paired with Cerretoo Moscato dAsti.
